We, Radha Govind Prachar Samagri (RGPS) respect the privacy of individuals with regards to personal data and are committed to protecting the privacy of our users/subscribers/viewers/customers (collectively “Users”), and ensure to provide a secure and safe user experience. It is essential that you familiarise yourself with this document.

  2. RGPS is the owner and operator of the website at https://www.jkpliterature.org.in and the application, Jagadguru Kripalu Bhaktiyoga Tattvadarshan operating under the brand name JKBT, located at G12, G14, Plot No 4, CSC, HAF, Sector 10, Dwarka, New Delhi 110075

  4. We reserve the right to change our policy at any time. Amendments or replacements of the Privacy Policy will be posted on our website. We encourage the User to check/visit the website periodically for any changes on a regular basis.

  6. Personal Information means information that may directly or indirectly identify you, such as your name, telephone number, email address, internal protocol (IP) address and location data. When we refer to “ID” we mean a list of digital numbers and/or letters which we or our service providers may generate. This is used as a means to give you a unique user or customer identifier – this unique ID is associated with your personal information.

  8. When you register or access JKBT Content, we may ask you to create an account using any/all the features or services made available on the website. We typically collect the following personal data from or in relation to you:

    • Name
    • Address
    • Phone number
    • Email address
    • Mode of payment
    • Your communication and opt - in choices
    • Information which will help us verify your account (if requested)
    • Any other information that you may choose to provide us

    We may collect this information in number of ways, including when you enter it while you visit our website, interact with our customer care, surveys or marketing promotions. In some cases, you may access our services via a mobile-deviceand internet connected devices (“devices”).These devices are operated by third parties and these third parties may have their own privacy policies in relation to handing Personal Information that they independently collect from such devices. You are required to familiarise yourself with their policies. We are not responsible for the practices or policies of such third parties and their policies are not covered by this Privacy Policy.

  9. Information Collected Automatically

We automatically receive and record information from your computer and browser, including (IP) address, browser type, surfing and existing websites and applications, hardware, software attributes, operating system, clickstream data, and the pages you request to receive information via cookies, web beacons or other technologies. In addition, we automatically collect or record such information to track your visit to our website. This enable us to compile statistics that show the number of times you visited our website and its individual pages.

    We may further collect information about your use of services pertaining to JKBT content through title selections, videos, audio, graphics or photos you may have watched or listened to, or search requests, interaction with our emails, communications, details of your interaction with our customer support such as the date, time, reason for contacting us, transcripts of any conversation and if you call us, your phone number; information about your location based on your mobile phone SIM card and/or IP address and your precise location based on GPS data will be collected. If for whatever reason the IP system fails, we will collect the last cached location as your current location (when your location sharing is purposely on); device IDs, device model, type of operating system, time zone setting, mobile operator, installed version etc. and other unique identifiers (see Cookies and Web Beacons below for more information). We also record information pertaining to performance of the mobile application and the website, such as crash logs, and build analytics and other performance statistics generated when you use the website.

  11. Information Collected by Third-Party Sources

If you choose to link, connect or login to our website using a social media platform, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Google etc. that social media platform may send us notification such as email ID, name, friend list etc. This information may become part of the Personal Information database of RGPS. In addition, we may also receive information about you from third parties such as publicly available sources or open government databases or offline and online data providers that may include analytics providers and advertising networks.

  13. The Purpose of Collecting Personal Information
  14. We have the legal right to collect your Personal Information as a result of you registering for our services. The way we use your Personal Information may vary from country to country. For your understanding, the following examples clearly state in what context and under what circumstances your Personal Information is used. This is not an exhaustive list.

    1. To deliver personalised services and its various features.
    2. To process your registration, your orders and payments (see Payment Card and Billing).
    3. To update you about our service via email or other modes (if provided by you during registration).
    4. To provide technical or customer support to you that may include addressing support queries related to, but not limited to, payment processing or to diagnose any problem with our servers etc.
    5. To prevent, detect and investigate illegal activities, including fraud, and to enforce our terms, such as whether you are eligible for RGPS signup offers.
    6. To use for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis and research to improve our products and services.
    7. To analyse and understand our audience and customers.
    8. To create, develop, operate, deliver and improve our products and services (including our user interface experience) and optimise content selection, recommendation algorithms and delivery.
    9. To communicate with you concerning our service so that we can send you news about RGPS.
    10. Details about new features and content available on our site, special offers and customer surveys, and to assist you with operational requests such as password reset. These communications will be via email.

  15. Payment Method and Billing Information
  16. When a book(s) is purchased by you using one or more of our payment gateway service providers, or any other online or mobile payment services provider we may use (including via app stores), the following payment information will be collected.

    • Credit/debit card details (number of your card, expire date, CVV code).
    • Other bank account details along with the date, time, and transaction amount.

    This payment information is stored by our payment gateway providers and associated with this payment merchant name ID and location is generated which our payment gateway providers provides to us. Together with a unique customer ID which we share with them, this payment information is never stored or processed by us. The payment gateway service providers will send us a unique transaction ID that would be associated with your unique customer ID (information provided to us). In this way we know that you paid the subscription fee for the selected services. We keep this information for our internal accounting purpose because we have a legal obligation to do so.

    Third party fraud detection software may be used by our payment gateway providers which analyse your payment information in order to ensure automated decisions as to whether payment from you will be accepted or not. If any of your transactions are declared fraudulent, you may contact us and contest the fraud decision made against you (account).

    When you pay for your book(s)/ebook(s) via Google Play Store your payment information is directly collected and controlled by them. However, we receive an invoice from the third party for your purchase of book(s)/ebook(s) and these invoices are stored by us, as we have a legitimate business interest to keep them for our internal accounting and taxation purposes, and to comply with the legal obligation as per any applicable laws including any audits, legal proceedings and/or investigations.

    Although your payment information is processed for us by the third party gateway providers, we have contractual agreement with them to ensure your Personal Information is protected. The third-party gateway payment processors act as a controller of your payment information, providing the payment processing service to you at your request, monitoring, preventing and detecting fraudulent payment transactions, complying with legal or regulatory obligations which apply to the financial services sector and analysing, developing, and improving their products and services. These third-party payment processors have their own privacy policies and we recommend you review them before you provide your payment information.

    For processing your order or any customer support queries pertaining to payment transactions, our payment processors provide us only access to the first 6 digits and last 4 digits of your credit/debit card, including any updates. This allows us to enter into a contract with you as well as promptly resolve your queries. In addition, we also use your first 6 digit numbers of your credit/debit card for our legitimate business interest, this allows us to analyse the most popular card types and issuing banks of our customers, and based on this data, we are able to improve our user experience and provide better service.

  17. Disclosure
  18. We may disclose your Personal Information:

    1. When required under the law, such as to any government or statutory authority or court of law or judicial forum;
    2. In circumstance where we believe it is necessary or appropriate to respond to valid claims and legal process, to protect the rights of RGPS, to protect the safety of the public or any person or user, or to prevent or cease any illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity;
    3. To any person/entity to whom disclosure is necessary to enable us to enforce our rights.

  19. Your Choices
  20. Your information – It is your responsibility to provide accurate Personal Information or keep it updated. You can at any time access your Personal Information through the “My Account” or ‘My Profile’ section of the website after a successful login.

    Modify Inaccurate or Incomplete Information – You can request us to correct inaccurate or incomplete Personal Information concerning you by sending us an email to our support email address [email protected].

    Data Access and Portability – In some jurisdictions, applicable law may entitle you to request copies of your Personal Information held by us. You may be entitled to request copies of Personal Information that you have provided to us by contacting us via an email to support.In case you have made your subscription via Android, then you will have to request for access to your subscription/personal data or portability of your subscription personal data on the Google Play Store website as per their applicable processes.

    Data Retention and Erasure – We retain your Personal Information as long as necessary for providing you services and as per the lawful basis of processing and to comply with our legal obligations. To determine the length of time we retain personal data, we take into consideration the following:

    • Deal with complaints regarding the website/any services provided on the website.
    • Defend or bring any existing or potential legal claims.
    • Comply with record retention requirements under the law.
    • Maintain business records for audit and/or analysis purposes.

    If for any reason you do not want us to use your information, then you can request that we erase your Personal Information and close your website account. Erasure of your information from the website will result in your subscription being terminated without any refunds. In case you have availed services via Android, you will have to unsubscribe yourself from the Google Play Store website in accordance to their applicable process to ensure you are not being charged by them.  Please note, you may request for your information to be erased; however, we may retain some information for the following reasons:

    • As necessary for our legitimate business interest.
    • To comply with the legal obligations.

    Withdrawing Consent – We collect your Personal Information with your permission and you may withdraw your consent at any time by sending us an email. We will review your request and may ask you to verify your identity. In cases where you have provided your location information, you may also at any time withdraw such consent by disabling the location and microphone permission from the setting menu on your device.

  21. Cookies and Web Beacons
  22. “Cookies” are text files (which may be html files, flash files or other technology) that help store user preferences and activity on your hard disk by a website server.

    “Web Beacons” (also known as image tags, gif or web bugs) are small codes used to collect advertising data such as counting page views, promotion views or advertising responses.

    RGPS and other service providers may use cookies and other technologies to store information in the web server or your mobile phone, tablet, computer and other devices. These kinds of technologies are used for various reasons such as:

    • To understand user behaviour, to show us visitor traffic on different parts of our website.
    • Measure effectiveness or web searchers.
    • Make it easy to access our services by remembering you when you return.
    • Help us to provide, analyse, understand and enhance the use of our services.
    • Help us enforce our terms of use and prevent fraud.
    • To improve the site performance.
    • To deliver and tailor our marketing or advertising.

  24. RGPS takes children’s privacy as applicable. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children through our website. If you are a minor as understood by laws of your country, please do not submit any Personal Information through our website without the express consent and participation of parent or guardian.

  26. We have implemented reasonable safeguards and precautions to protect your Personal Information. Some of the safeguards that we have implemented to protect your information are firewalls and data encryption, information access controls and destroying or de-identifying Personal Information as per the applicable law. We encourage you not to disclose your ID and password and to be careful to avoid “phishing” scams where someone may send you an email that appears to be from RGPS asking for your Personal Information. RGPS will never request your ID or password through email. If you believe or know that your account has been compromised, please contact us (see Contact Information below).

    PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT TRANSMISSION OF INFORMATION OVER THE INTERNET IS NOT COMPLETELY SECURE. ALTHOUGH WE STRIVE TO PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE SECURITY OF YOUR DATA WHILE IT IS BEING TRANSMITTED TO OUR RGPS SERVICE; AND TRANSMISSION IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
