समस्त वेदों शास्त्रों पुराणों आदि के द्वारा यह निर्विवाद सिद्ध सिद्धान्त है कि प्रत्येक जीव का चरम लक्ष्य आनन्द प्राप्ति ही है और वह आनन्द या रस स्वयं रसिक शिरोमणि श्री कृष्ण ही हैं किन्तु उन आनन्द स्वरूप, आनन्दकन्द श्री कृष्ण चन्द्र को भी क्रीतदास बनाने वाला उन्हीं का परमांतरंग प्रेम तत्त्व है। तथा यही आन्तिक तत्व है। इसी प्रेम रस का लक्ष्य बनाकर जगद्गुरु श्री कृपालु जी महाराज ने श्री राधा कृष्ण लीला माधुरी ग्रन्थ की रचना की। जिसका प्रत्येक पद गागर में सागर ही है। यह समस्त माधुरियाँ प्रेम रस की मधुरिमा से ओतप्रोत है। इनमें श्री राधाकृष्ण की विभिन्न लीलाओं का वर्णन, वेद शास्त्र पुराणादि सम्मत एवं अनेक महापुरुषों की वाणियों के मतानुसार किया गया है।

श्री महाराज जी ने इतने सरस और रोचक ढंग से व्याख्या की है कि कोई भी पाठक पढ़ने मात्र से लीला जगत में प्रवेश कर जायेगा।
