The Special Sweetness of Love in Separation
ankhiyan, sakhi! ya rupa lubhani
"O sakhi! My eyes are completely enchanted with Shyamasundara’s beauty.
dekhana chahata kamala dala lochana, sunana chahata mridubani
Now they wish to see nothing but my lotus-eyed Beloved. My ears crave to hear His sweet words.
haun samujhavata hari thaki pai, ina ne eka na mani
I have tried to make them understand, but they do not pay heed in the slightest.
nahin sukhata ekahum chhina kaham sakhi! ina ankhiyana ko pani
Tears do not cease flowing even for a moment, from these eyes.
taji dini trina sama ina nigurina, loka-laja, kula-kani
These wretched eyes have abandoned all sense of worldly shame, family honour and respectability."
jo 'kripalu' honi thi ho gai, aba ka honi jani
Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, "Whatever was to happen has happened. Now what can be done?"
