Description

Shraddha, faith, is an indispensible requirement at the commencement of any spiritual journey. From the Vedas to the Gita and the Ramayana, all scriptures declare that without shraddha, not even God Himself can free a soul from the bondage of maya. Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj explains the process to develop and deepen shraddha and discusses how to nurture it throughout our journey towards God-realisation.

He discusses that being blessed with a human body is the ultimate grace that can be bestowed by God. However, if we do not have faith in the words of God and guru, then this precious human life will go to waste. वेद से लेकर रामायण तक सभी ग्रन्थ और सभी सम्प्रदायों के सभी सन्त कहते हैं कि साधक के लिए सर्वप्रथम श्रद्धा परमावश्यक है। बिना श्रद्धा के भगवान् स्वयं भी यदि गुरु रूप में हमारा मार्ग दर्शन करें तो भी हमारा कल्याण असम्भव है।

यद्यपि मानवदेह एवं सद्गुरु का मिलना परम सौभाग्य एवं भगवान् की सबसे बड़ी तथा अन्तिम कृपा है लेकिन इनसे भी दुर्लभ एक तीसरी चीज है श्रद्धा, उसी में गड़बड़ हुई है अनादिकाल से अब तक। अनन्त बार हमको भगवान् मिले हैं, संतों की कौन कहे, किन्तु श्रद्धा न होने के कारण हमें कोई लाभ नहीं हुआ।

अत: यह समझना परमावश्यक है कि श्रद्धा क्या है और अगर श्रद्धा नहीं है तो कैसे उत्पन्न हो। प्रस्तुत पुस्तक में जगद्गुरु श्री कृपालु जी महाराज के प्रवचनों के अंश संकलित किये गये हैं जो इस विषय पर प्रकाश डालते हैं।
