जगद्गुरु श्री कृपालु जी महाराज की पुस्तक ब्रजरस माधुरी में उनके द्वारा रचित काव्य, काव्य ही नहीं अपितु, उनके दिव्य प्रेम से ओतप्रोत हृदय की मधुर-मधुर झनकारें हैं। जैसा कि पुस्तक के नाम से ही स्पष्ट है, दिव्य रसों में सर्वश्रेष्ठ ब्रजरस का माधुर्य निर्झरित होता है इस पुस्तक के संकीर्तनों से। प्रत्येक जीव आनन्द स्वरूप भगवान् का सनातन अंश है। अतएव अपने अंशी भगवान् को प्राप्त करके ही उसे वास्तविक आनन्द की प्राप्ति हो सकती है। समस्त भगवत्स्वरूपों में ब्रज के श्री राधाकृष्ण का स्वरूप ही मधुरतम है। अतएव उन्हीं की भक्ति से ही दिव्यानन्द के उज्ज्वलतम स्वरूप की प्राप्ति सम्भव है। श्री राधाकृष्ण-भक्ति की आधारशिलायें हैं- दीनता, अनन्यता एवं निष्कामता, (ब्रह्मलोक पर्यंत के सुखों एवं पाँचों प्रकार की मुक्तियों की कामना का परित्याग)। किन्तु कलियुग के विशेषरूपेण पतित जीवों के हृदय में इन बातों को उतारना, और वह भी ऐसे समय में जब अपनी स्वार्थ-सिद्धि के लिये अहंकार युक्त इस जीव की झूठी प्रशंसा करके उसके अहंकार को और अधिक वर्धित करने वाले एवं सांसारिक कामनाओं की सिद्धि के लिये ही ईश्वर-भक्ति का उपदेश देने वाले लोकरंजक उपदेशक ही चारों ओर विद्यमान हों, अत्यन्त ही दुरूह कार्य है। किन्तु जगद्गुरु श्री कृपालु जी महाराज की भक्ति रचनाओं की यह अभूतपूर्व विशेषता है कि वे इस असम्भव से कार्य को भी सहज ही सम्भव कर देती हैं। संकीर्तनों में व्यक्त भाव इतने मार्मिक व हृदय को आलोड़ित करने वाले हैं कि दीनता एवं निष्कामता के भाव सहज ही साधक के हृदय में अपनी जड़ें जमाने लगते हैं, जिससे वह बिना किसी विशेष प्रयास के ही विशुद्धा भक्ति के मार्ग पर अग्रसर होता जाता है। भक्ति-पथ के पथिक प्रत्येक साधक को ‘ब्रजरस माधुरी’ के सहज माधुर्य का पान करके अपनी देवदुर्लभ मानव देह को अवश्य ही सफल करना चाहिये।
